There was a part of me not wanting to leave, and another that was telling me to do the opposite. The former feeling was due to the many learning experiences that I had at the Tire with customers, managers, and fellow employees - thanks Mr. Fleming for employing me in the first place. I mean i didn't want to leave the place where i have spent about 13 months of time working, breaking sweats, getting into verbal "matches" with customers, lifting in skids full of product, and filling the ever-popular overheads of the electrical aisles 1, 2 and drei (3). I will miss all of the people there that is for sure. say goodbye to the german contingent (wilhelm roessler), the cash people, the infamous sports crew, my hard working hardware crew, and the courtesy girls (too bad i never got to say how much i really found you to be a great person to be around and spend time with C. - thanks for coming in to see me today :) ) I really am appreciative of my manager, Shirley, getting Dave to buy me a cake for my last day, and having a bunch of us sit in the break room and eat cake for an hour (or so!). My departure was mostly filled of the former feelings, even though there is that part of me that is happy to be moving on in succession in order to progress into a new chapter of my life - university. i really can't wait for it (including the massive amount of hours of lectures, labs, tutorials, and outer class work that await me). go engineering!

i mean this is life. life is a continual sequence of events that teach us about both the positive aspects, and negative aspects of it all - and the trick is to set it up in balance!
grab it by the proverbial horns to aspire, and keep motivated so that success will com your way. that is how i see it.

until next time.... COLDPLAY OH YEAH!
it was great! coldplay played at the Molson AMP, opening with Politik, and playing some stuff from Parachutes and AROBTTH and even stuff that i have never heard before (quite possibly a mix of new and unreleased material)... altogether they play about an hour an a half set with a double encore consisting of such favourites as clocks... (for the newbie bandwagon jumpers) the crowd could have a bit more alive, but all in all a great concert (i would give it an 8.5/10)... it was a good time had by all (kelso, matt, and I)

went paintballing with a bunch of people (around 30 of them) and had a good time... it was a lot of more interesting than last years considering the people whom i pelted and received 'peltage' from were people that i knew... not random stouffvillians... heh...
it was a great time, presumably had by all... the only thing is that there are some people in this world who seem to be very selective, and care solely about themselves... hopefully certain things will change... hate to dampen things, but it is the truth... (nothing to do with the festivities of the day though, just to clarify...)

went up to Carleton to visit just recently, and did a brief self-tour of the campus, EE facilities, and the whole engineering faculty while i was at it... it is a great campus... quite possibly one of the best i have ever seen, along with fathoms of things that i think make the university stand out in terms of engineering and student life from other universities in canada...

in closing, the big thing is that my high school career has ended, and now i am going off to university. high school has been a great experience for me, as i spent 3 years of it in canada, and 1 year of it in England. altogether, all my buddies (and mates) have been great, and there have been many good times, and memories that accompany them. we will seperate, and go our seperate ways, but i see it, overall, as us moving into the future of our lives, and going into different programs that will probably dictate where we will spend the rest of our lives, and how those lives form from the day that we start classes in university... anywho, its been great, and i hope to keep in contact with people even though it will not be completely possible to stay in contact with everyone... even so, there is no point at looking at this transition in a pessimistic perspective, but rather in such a way that defines the four dimensional spatial life that follows from this day forward...alright...that is my rant about university...

off to Carleton... Silicon Valley North... (i.e. going to see Coldplay live in T.O.) oh yeah...
anyway, i will blog later, when i get a chance in between studying for exams...

spater... That is a good thing. I mean, I went to the Jays game on Friday night with some of my favourite people, and it was a blast. I haven't been to a Jays game since last summer (I think), and the seats that we ended up having were great -- we were about 5 or 6 rows from the left field line on the 100 level... some the best seats that I have ever had. Thanks to Kelso for the ticket - and I apologize for being an idiot if I came across as one that night... what was the problem.
Anywho, after getting in, I woke up and headed off to work for the morning shift. The store was very much dead, as very few customers even hesistated to ask me questions, let alone actually asking me any. I ended up just filling with my co-workers, talking about university, and making fun of customers like I usually do -- it's great. I went to Mastermind afterwards to meet Darryl, in order to pick up an expansion kit for my LEGO Mindstorms kit, so we can work on our Computer Engineering ISP. We are going to develop a real-time interface for the robot using Visual Basic... we are thinking independently driven controls to drive each servo, and to interact with the environment using sensors. We do not have much time, but I think we can do a very good job with what we have, and our 'expansive' knowledge of robotics and a.i. programming... cough...
Went to Harvey's with Darryl after, and then went home to zone out for a little while - wasn't in the mood to do any homework. Afterward, I ended up going with Matt to Quizno's of Hwy 7. and then rushed down to First Markham Place to catch X Men 2... excellent movie... I mean, this move had everything going for it: great special effects/CG, acting was quite good, the storyline, and most importantly the plot. This movie was great and it had all of my favourite x-men characters in it (nightcrawler, colossus, and wolverine)... 4.5/5 stars on my 'cool-o-meter'... riiight...
And today... Today i spent working on geometry, and my english ISP. I have done about 5/8 of it I would say, and just have to finish two of my major arguments, and have to clean up the format and grammar... I also went down to the library to practise three point turns, and parallel parking with my dad -- G2 test. it was pretty interesting... not nearly as complicated as I thought - just needed practise...
Anywho, that was my weekend of death and destruction... more posting shall occur later... (p.s. still waiting from the big 3.)

See you later...

Current Music: Boston - More Than A Feeling
                Coldplay - Clocks

Hello again. This weekend has been quite busy altogether, but not overly interesting. On Saturday, I went to work, but this was no normal day at "the CTC", this was quite possibly one of the most frustrating days working there due to the over-crowded store. There were so many customers in the store that I didn't even have any time to fill the homes AT ALL - absolute craziness. Anywho, I got home and had Tom's Burgers for lunch - it was great. After that, Matt came over and we went down to Active Electronics and Sayal on Victoria Park to look for parts for something we are thinking of building... the operative word there was thinking... remember that. After that, I got home and went to church, and then once again, went home... (yes i used "went home" in the same sentence) After that, my family and I went to Peter's Fine Dining, and had the nicest piece of prime rib that I have ever had -- albeit the most expensive. Oh well, it doesn't matter, the food rocked.
Today was boring, I went out for a little while, but eneded up mostly doing homework. I got around to working on physics questions for the upcoming SIN contest on Thursday, as well as the lab, and some Calculus reviewing for the upcoming Calculus test on Tuesday. Anywho, now I am just typing this because Kelso wanted me to blog, and that is quite possibly why this blog sucks so much... I, next time, will write a better blog... I $hit you not...
Ciao...

Current Music: Reggie and The Full Effect - Congratulations Matt and Christine

Today was a decent day - albeit busy. Went to english ready for the chemistry test the following period, and did none of the prose work we had to do - it will be fine though, i will do it and study it this weekend probably. The chemistry test was kind of tough, but not overly complicated - #2 on the first page made me think for a little bit, but it was alright otherwise. Calculus was fine, got 97 on a small quiz, and Geometry pissed me off once again after getting my test back. Geometry confuses me, thats all i can say. I am basically 85% and above in all of my other courses, but this course is just killing me - and it pisses me off why it is this one... i mean 90 in calculus, but damn loads less for geometry. I am disappointed in this sense, but reasonably happy in that my average for eng is 84.0% - decent, but not great... damn geometry.
On the university front, I received a scholarship from Dalhousie, and Calgary just sent me their course selection stuff - man... those two universities must really want me... or...? i am still waiting for the Big Three -- Waterloo, Queens, and Mac, and I hope to get something from them within the next couple weeks... i hope things end of on the plus side for the most part - that would be great.
Anywho, i have to go to work tomorrow, just like i did tonight. it was great tonight, did a little bit of work in electrical, and basically did a bunch of miscellaneous things that needed to be done according to the managers... they are really great people there. I have to go to Active tomorrow and pick of electronics components - servos, resistors etc... we will see. Then come back and probably do homework. i have lots to do this weekend: physics lab, Sir Isaac Newton practise questions for the physics contest this week upcoming, english prose stuff and my isp, calculus homework/studying, and geometry homework... it is alot, but normal in my books... anyway, i will talk to you later, in response to further correspondance from universities...
Bis spater...

Current Music: Coldplay - Shiver

Well, it has been a long week (so far), but there is still one day left to go. I wrote my Geometry and my English tests yesterday, and tomorrow is Chemistry (Equilibrium and Entropy). The first two were not too bad, and the latter shouldn't be too bad as well - just a matter of studying and understanding. But oh my, the english test was one to remember. It consisted of all short answer, long answer (essay paragraph), and essay questions. I mean, it was not hard in itself, but it was a matter of getting it finished within the time that we were given (an hour). I am still currently waiting for responses from Queens, Mac, and Waterloo - i do not know, but I hope on the most part it will be on the positive side - I am 4/4 currently. This weekend upcoming will be busy in itself, I am working tomorrow night and Saturday morning (so come in and visit me if you are around Canadian Tire on Bullock and McCowan), it's KELSO'S BIRTHDAY (give him beats tomorrow if you see him), I have to go and get components for a robotics club thing, and who knows what else i am forgetting in the sheer hysteria of my typing this up... cough... On an unrelated note, I got my tuxedo rented not too long ago, and I was feeling in a Hives-like mood at the time (check out the styles here if you are clueless as to what i am talking about) - all is looking good on that front. Prom will be cool, but I am still on the lookout if you get my drift... cough...
See you around...

Current Music: Foo Fighters - Monkey Wrench
Taking Back Sunday - Cute Without The E (wicked song - Kelso would love it - it's emo!)

I am thinking, the next couple of months are going to be both: interesting and deciding factors in my life. With these university replies coming from every which angle, I am unsure of how it will turn out in the end. It isn't something to panic, and contemplate suicide over (even though some may - yikes...), but it is something to keep focused on as the next month or so rolls around. Anywho, I just though I have received acceptances from Dal, Calgary, Windsor, and Ryerson, I am pretty much still in "the good" while I wait for the big 3: Waterloo, Queens, and McMaster... I mean i received the most ambiguous letter from Mac a couple of days ago, still trying to sell their Eng. (engineering) program to me. I was confused, but still arrived at the conclusion that it was just a means to make sure that others do not opt out of their program. I would be quite happy if I was accepted by Mac, but Queens or Waterloo would be "the piece of resistance"... (I am not sure if that translation came across correct or not. hehe). Anywho, the weekend it going by as I do homework and study for the upcoming week of death: geometry, chemistry, and english tests. I must be going now...

Current Music: U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday

Well, today was an interesting day to say the least. I woke up bright and early at 8:00 (yes that is early for me... on a weekend), washed and dressed up, and headed off to work. This being a standard Saturday morning shift for me, I jumped in the automobile at 8:50 (10 minutes to my shift), and had the feeling that I really didn't want to arrive late to work. So, yes, as usual, i leave my house very late, but still manage to clock in at the computer at 8:59 -- it's great: i was early, and got paid for an extra minute (GO [7.00*(1/60)]!!!). Anywho, I arrived and signed in like I normally do every Saturday, but this was special. I walked over to electrical, and found that it was absolutely decimated. I mean the place looked as if a 100 megaton ACME thermo-nuclear warhead had hit it.... twice... and then felt like another run at it just for fun. So yeah, Aisles 1-3 were packed full of product that was not even opened up from the original packaging, so that I could either fill the homes or the overstock, for that matter. It was fine, however, as I managed to get most of aisle 1 done in about a couple of hours. Although, just then at around 11 o'clock(ish...), I was beginning to be bombarded by innumerable amounts of customers asking for: ceiling fans, caulking, furnace filters, toolchests, ceiling fans, 4 boxes of paper towels, and ceiling fans. I mean, why does everyone need so many ceiling fans... and all in the span of about 2 hours... Hilarity ensued from that point on. So, timed seemed to have been passing faster than a thernonuclear bomb (pardon the "weapons of mass destruction analogies" -- I am feeling crappily analogous) in mid air about to wipe out a large city, 1:00 rolled around and I clocked out promptly soon thereafter.
So, as I was leaving the parking lot, I almost crashed into about 1 or 2 cars that had swiftly jetted out of parts of the parking lot that I had thought had not even existed. Albeit, I left without a scratch, and headed out to Tom's Burgers, for one of the best burgers in town. From this point on, I picked up the burger and began to head home - truly interesting (... snore...). So, as I was "rolling" down my street, I had just passed imfamous #34, and waved to Dean Blundell (morning guy from 102.1 The Edge/Edge102 [gratuitious good-guy plug ===> www.edge102.com]) and his kids while they were playing hockey on the driveway... a good guy that Mr. Blundell, as he waved back. Then I went in to eat, and watched a couple of movies: One Hour Photo, and The Bourne Identity. I am not much of a film critic, so go somewhere else for those rantings and ravings, but I thought that for what each movie was, that they were pretty good on the most part. After that, I headed up for an early dinner, did some physics and calculus, and headed out to Easter Vigil (2 hours). A pretty cool mass, even though it was double the length of a typical one. I left feeling enlightened, and headed home... So yeah, as this is my first lengthy post, I hope you liked it for it's... um.... good...ness?!
Anywho, I will try to do a post as often as possible, but I am busy, so yeah...
